The Opinionated Foodie: The Love (or Not) of Food and Everything That Goes with It


I have very little cooking talent, really.  Everything I learned is from The Food Network and trial and error.

Lots and lots of errors.

I have also learned a lot from the kind folks at the Viking Cooking School. I adore them.

I have taken seven classes from Viking, and they have all been worth every penny.  Recently, several of the gals and I took the Italian Dinner class. 


We learned how to make homemade pasta, meatballs, and two different sauces. 

Luckily, I recently got a pasta machine.

well that looks like fancy restaurant food yum! What flavor ice cream is that?

Pistachio. It was store bought, though. They gave us the recipe to make our own, but the chefs who did our class weren’t able to get the gelato done in time. It was very good even though it wasn’t homemade.
